Welcome
Good Fences Counseling is built on the belief that people thrive when they have clarity, healthy boundaries, and support that aligns with their values. We offer a grounded, warm, and nonjudgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore what’s working in their lives, what isn’t, and what meaningful change might look like. Our work centers on practical action, emotional awareness, and fostering healthier relationships — both within yourself and with the people who matter most.
We take an eclectic and flexible approach that honors each person’s unique background, strengths, and goals. Rather than forcing a single method or mindset, we work collaboratively to help you become the person you choose to be, guided by your values and the realities of your daily life. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, relationship stress, or court-related requirements, our focus remains consistent: to provide compassionate guidance, steady support, and a “do what works” mindset that encourages growth without shame or judgment.
At Good Fences Counseling, we’re here to help you move toward a clearer, more connected, and values-aligned life — one step, one insight, and one healthy boundary at a time.

1.
Individual and Couples Therapy
Good Fences Counseling offers individual and couples therapy grounded in values-based action, emotional awareness, and healthy boundaries. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, shame, relationship strain, or major life transitions, we provide a warm, steady space to understand what’s happening and take meaningful steps toward change.
Drawing from ACT, EFT, and DBT, we help individuals clarify their values, regulate difficult emotions, and communicate more effectively. Couples work focuses on strengthening emotional connection, understanding attachment patterns, and building boundaries that support closeness rather than distance.
Our goal is healthier relationships, both with yourself and with the people who matter most. With practical tools, nonjudgmental support, and a “do what works” approach, we help you move toward greater clarity, steadiness, and connection.
2.
DV - OIP and Anger Management
Good Fences Counseling provides Domestic Violence Offender Intervention Program (DV-OIP) services and Anger Management treatment focused on accountability, emotional awareness, and values-based behavior change. Treatment emphasizes practical skills, clear boundaries, and understanding the patterns that contribute to harmful or ineffective behaviors without relying on shame or harsh confrontation.
Using evidence-based methods clients develop emotional regulation, relational insight, and stronger communication. Treatment centers on healthy accountability, building healthier boundaries, and making values-driven choices that support safety, respect, and steadier behavior.
Our goal is sustainable change. Whether court-mandated or self-referred, participants receive structured guidance, compassionate accountability, and effective tools to reduce harm, break old cycles, and build healthier relationships.
3.
Assessment Services
Good Fences Counseling provides clear, values-informed assessment services to help individuals understand their needs and take the next workable steps forward. We offer domestic violence assessments, anger management assessments, court-mandated evaluations, and general mental health assessments.
Our approach emphasizes clarity, safety, and practical guidance. Assessments are structured, evidence-based, and designed to identify meaningful patterns so individuals can begin addressing concerns with confidence.
At Good Fences Counseling, the goal of every assessment is to provide accurate insight and actionable recommendations. Whether you are meeting a legal requirement or seeking direction for personal growth, we offer a steady, non-shaming process that helps you move toward healthier relationships with yourself and others.
4.
Clinical Supervision
Good Fences Counseling provides clinical supervision grounded in clarity, growth, and values-based professional development. Supervision focuses on building strong clinical foundations while supporting supervisees in developing their own voice, confidence, and therapeutic presence. We emphasize practical skill-building, ethical decision-making, and steady progress toward competence and licensure.
Our supervision approach is intentionally eclectic and flexible, centering on cultivating supervisee confidence and a solid, grounded sense of professional identity. We prioritize helping clinicians feel steady in their judgment, secure in their boundaries, and capable of navigating complexity with clarity and compassion. Supervisees are supported in developing the foundational habits, perspectives, and self-assurance that allow them to grow into effective, authentic practitioners.
The goal is to help emerging clinicians become grounded, effective, and authentically themselves in the therapy room. With structured guidance, open exploration, and a “do what works” mindset, we support supervisees in developing the confidence and clinical judgment needed for long-term success and meaningful client care.
